We've all heard the old adage "work smarter, not harder", but there are a few who do both. They work smarter and harder, and get the most productive results. One person who displays this adage in action is our Realtor (and now friend), Alan Woodhouse. Whose astute research and hard work found us a house that met all the points on the checklist of what we were looking for in a neighborhood where there were no houses for sale, but where we wanted to live. In short, we had just taken in our 2 oldest grandchildren to live with us, and this neighborhood was an ideal environment for us to raise them, per schools and recreation. And despite seemingly no available houses, Alan found us our house by using the internet to narrow the possible houses that met our checklist and by physically going to these houses and knocking their doors. As a result, he found a family who planned to put their house on the market in 3-4 months but had not as yet even searched out a Realtor to list it. And the end of the story is a bright one with us moving into this house/our new home within 3 months, and Alan helping this family and their daughter both find homes within a short time later in an area within St. Louis where they wanted to live. As so, Alan worked smarter and harder (as is his work ethic), and was successful in placing 3 families into homes of their choice.
